It was previously reported that one-half of the former AEW World Tag Team Champions Jungle Boy is out of in-ring action as he is currently dealing with an undisclosed injury and that is the reason why he did not make an appearance on last Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite and it could also be the reason why he and Luchasaurus lost the AEW World Tag Team Titles to The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson).
Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that Jungle Boy is out of action due to a shoulder injury, but there’s still no word yet on the nature or severity of Jungle Boy’s injury or a timetable of when he could return to the ring, though updates will be provided once it has been made available. There have been no reports of when Jungle Boy suffered the injury, but it was speculated by Dave Meltzer that the AEW talent may have gotten hurt during the AEW World Tag Team Title Ladder Match or the post-match segment, when wrestling legend Christian Cage double-crossed and attacked Jungle Boy from behind, starting a potential feud between the two.
Jungle Boy is the latest in a long list of AEW talents that are on the injured list and this couldn’t have come in the worst possible time as AEW and NJPW held their joint Forbidden Door Event last night from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The list of injured All Elite Wrestling talents includes AEW World Champion CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, Anthony Bowens, The Bunny, Red Velvet, Darius Martin, Kenny Omega, Buddy Matthews and Skye Blue.
