AEW Star Ethan Page, who signed with the company in early 2021 and made his AEW debut as the surprise sixth entrant in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match at last year’s AEW Revolution PPV Event, has recently signed a new contract with the company. Fightful Select previously reported that Page signed a contract extension with AEW to remain with the company for several more years and that the deal was reached late last year.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast recently spoke about Ethan Page signing a contract extension with AEW, while also discussing the fact that there are people in the WWE who are very high on Page and they think he is super talented. Zarian also noted that since Page just recently signed a contract extension with AEW he will remain in the promotion for several more years, but the WWE still has their eyes on him and they will definitely try to sign him once his deal with AEW is up, which is why AEW has to do something with him to keep him happy.
This is what Andrew Zarian said:
“By the way, Ethan Page is another dude that WWE is very high on.” “They like Ethan Page’s whole deal and I think he’s super hyper talented.”
“I know that Ethan Page has re-signed and he’s there for a while but I know for a fact that there are eyes on him for sure because he’s a guy who is a good looking guy who can cut a great promo. He has that TV look, so you gotta keep a guy like that happy, especially now that he re-signed with you. You gotta do something with him.”
Zarian has reported in the past that the WWE has also expressed interest in talents like MJF, Wardlow and AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill and just like Ethan Page, those All Elite Wrestling wrestlers still have a number of years remaining on their current AEW contracts.
Page last competed for AEW on the March 4th episode of Rampage, when he lost to Christian Cage. Prior to that, Ethan Page’s last Singles Match took place on the January 21st episode of Rampage, losing to Jon Moxley. Ethan Page has appeared on Dynamite on a number of occasions with Dan Lambert and AEW TNT Champion Scorpio Sky, but he last competed on AEW’s flagship show on the October 27th episode, losing to then-AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara.
Prior to signing with AEW, Page had been a huge star on IMPACT Wrestling, where he found success as a member of The North alongside Josh Alexander. He has recently been put in a faction with Dan Lambert, Paige VanZant and AEW TNT Champion Scorpio Sky.
