TNA and WWE Had No Idea AEW Would Pit Forbidden Door Against Slammiversary

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE and TNA were unaware that AEW would announce Forbidden Door 2026 for June 28, the same date as TNA's Slammiversary event. AEW officially confirmed that Forbidden Door will take place on June 28 at the SAP Center in San Jose, featuring stars from AEW, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, CMLL, and Stardom, while TNA's second biggest pay-per-view of the year will occur in Boston on the same night.
