This week’s episode of AEW Dark: Elevation opens up with AEW commentator Tony Schiavone interviewing Wardlow in a backstage segment. Schiavone starts by saying, “It’s not Shark Week. It’s Wardlow Week!” Schiavone then says that Wardlow will be competing on tonight’s Dark: Elevation, tomorrow’s Dark, and Friday’s Dynamite in his MMA Cage Match against Jake Hager.
Wardlow then says, “It’s Wardlow’s World. Tonight, I’m gonna knock somebody out. Tomorrow night, I’m gonna choke somebody out, and Friday night, Jake Hager, I’m gonna knock you out in the first round and that’s a guaran-damn-tee.”
Paul Wight and Tony Schiavone then welcomes the fans to another jam-packed edition of the program. We are then sent to ringside for the first match of the evening.
