AEW Dynamite Results (02/19): Atlanta, Georgia

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite opens up with an intro video.

Commentary then welcomes us to the show and introduces all of the competitors in the first match of the evening, who are all already in the ring for a Tag Team Battle Royal.

The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) win a Tag Team Battle Royal, last eliminating Proud ‘N’ Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) to become #1 contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Titles at AEW Revolution.

We then get a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and The Rhodes family are shown walking backstage including their dog, Pharaoh.

We then get the entrances for the next match of the evening.

Kris Statlander def. Shanna via pinfall with the wheelbarrow Tombstone Piledriver.

We then get a video package recapping Nyla Rose winning the AEW Women’s World Championship from Riho last week to send us to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and Tony Schiavone is on the ramp to introduce AEW Women’s World Champion Nyla Rose.

Tony Schiavone congratulates Nyla Rose on winning the AEW Women’s World Championship, but Nyla Rose barks at the crowd and says, “Is that how you greet me?” Nyla Rose then says that she should have been the first champion and the face on all the posters. Nyla Rose then says that it just makes her hungry and when she’s hungry, she “breaks b—-es.” Tony Schiavone then asks about Riho’s courage, but Nyla Rose rips the microphone away and says forget that, she represents power and she is the queen bee in this hive. Nyla Rose then proclaims that she will be a one-time champion because nobody can beat her. From the back comes Kris Statlander, who is #2 in the rankings. Statlander goes to “boop” Rose’s nose and does it to the title. Big Swole then rolls out and gets in Rose’s face. Security and referees then come out and break things up. Swole and Statlander then lock eyes for a moment.

We then get a video package recapping Jeff Cobb’s debut from last week’s AEW Dynamite.

We then get the entrances for the next match of the evening.

Jon Moxley def. Jeff Cobb via pinfall with a small package. After the match, The Inner Circle immediately makes their way down to the ring and stomps away on Moxley. From the back comes Dustin Rhodes and he swings away on everyone, but the numbers are too great for him. The lights go out and Darby Allin’s music hits and Allin skates down to the ring. He brings his board in and swings away on everyone. Hager then tries to hit a lowblow, but Allin blocks it with the board. Cobb in from behind and hits a suplex, but Allin lands on his feet. Moxley in from behind with a paradigm shift on Cobb. Allin then launches Guevara into the steps. Jericho is dazed and realizes that he is in the ring alone with Moxley. They swing away at each other. Moxley then whips Jericho into the ropes, but Jericho bails out to the floor and up the ramp.

We then get a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and we get the entrances for the next match of the evening.

The Elite (Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page) (c) def. The Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix) via pinfall with the Buck Shot / V-Trigger combination on Rey Fenix to retain their AEW World Tag Team Titles. After the match, Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson come out and check on Kenny Omega. Hangman Page then goes over and helps Omega up. Page then heads to the crowd and grabs a few beers.

We then get a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and we get an ad for AEW’s action figure line.

We then get a video package covering the feud between Cody Rhodes and MJF.

The steel cage lowers around the ring to send us to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and the main event of the evening is underway.

Cody Rhodes def. Wardlow via pinfall in a Steel Cage Match with a moonsault off the top of the cage. After the match, Cody Rhodes celebrates his victory on top of the cage while MJF stares on in disbelief and the show comes to a close.
