This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite opens up with an intro video.

Commentary then welcomes us to the show and discusses all of the matches that will be taking place on the show before sending us to a video package for the opening matchup which is The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy). The Young Bucks and Private Party then make their way down to ringside for their matchup.

Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) def. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) via pinfall with a victory roll from Marq Quen on Matt Jackson to advance in The AEW Tag Team Title Tournament. After the match, Los Gueros del Cielo (Angelico and Jack Evans) and SCU (Christopher Daniel, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) are shown in the crowd, stunned at the upset. Private Party then celebrate in the crowd as we go to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break, Private Party are still celebrating.

AEW World Champion Chris Jericho makes his way down to the ring and he is accompanied by Santana, Ortiz, Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara. Jericho then gets on the mic and introduces himself as the champion and says that the debut episode of Dynamite took the world by storm last week and takes all the credit. Jericho then talks about how his group proved themselves last week and they are the next and the now. Jericho then calls them his confidants, the closest men he has ever met and they are going to keep working together and they do have a name.

Jericho then introduces Sammy Guevara as a sexy Spanish God and one of the greatest performers of his age in a long time and that is why he made the list. Santana and Ortiz are next and Jericho says that he personally recruited them and they are ready to fight, angry and ready, back alley brutes and that is why they made his list. And then there is the giant behind him, you may think you know who he is, but Jake Hager is the most terrifying, crazy MMA fighter in the world today.

A “We the people!” chant goes up and Jericho says that it is dead, a bad idea from bad creative and that is gone and buried. Jericho then resumes and says that Hager is undefeated in MMA and that makes him the toughest man in the entire pro wrestling business. Jericho then names his group as The Inner Circle and says that they are taking control of AEW now. Jericho then says that he doesn’t care if you’re The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega or “that stupid son of a bitch” Cody, who has been entitled by his famous family his entire life.

Jericho then says that he doesn’t like Cody or his family. Jericho then says that he thought Dusty Rhodes was a jerk, he thinks Dustin Rhodes is a moron and he is gonna kick Cody Rhodes’ ass tonight and at Full Gear on November 9. Jericho then says that he is going to beat the everliving shit out of Cody Rhodes and then they are gonna walk the streets of Baltimore and have a little bit of the bubbly.

From there, we then go to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break, we are just in time for the entrances of the next matchup which is The #1 Contender’s Match for Chris Jericho’s AEW World Title between Darby Allin and Jimmy Havoc.

Jimmy Havoc then cuts a picture in picture promo where he talks about the inhuman amounts of violence he has been through in his career and how he is going to make Darby Allin feel his pain and become #1 contender to the title.

Commentary then informs us that The Women’s Division Tag Team Match is coming up next, right after the commercial break.

Commentary then hypes the tag team main event matchup.

We then get a Best Friends video vignette where they hug in a park and then cut to them being interviewed. Best Friends are then asked how they are feeling about going against SCU next week in the tag team title tournament. Chuckie T then says to not ask them, but to ask Orange Cassidy. Orange Cassidy then gives his trademark thumbs up.

The lights go down and then come back up with a man sitting in a chair on the stage. He gets up and it is none other than Shawn Spears. Spears makes his way down to the ring and is accompanied by Tully Blanchard.

Moxley then steps up to him. PAC then points at Omega and heads to the back. Moxley then thinks about whacking Omega, but just tosses the bat and heads to the back as we go to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break, we are just in time for the entrances of the main event.

The Inner Circle (AEW World Champion Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara) def. Dustin Rhodes and “Hangman” Adam Page via pinfall with the Judas Effect from Chris Jericho on Dustin Rhodes. After the match, the rest of The Inner Circle attacks Dustin Rhodes. Page is up and tries to help out, but the numbers are just too much as Hager sends page out to the floor. Page then launches a chair at Hager. The two fight to the back. Guevara and Jericho stomp away at Dustin. The lights go out and come back up. It is none other than Cody Rhodes. Cross Rhodes fights off Sammy Guevara to send him packing. Cody and Jericho then square up in the ring. Santana and Ortiz then blindside Cody Rhodes. Jericho then holds up the AEW World Title and celebrates a bit. Dustin Rhodes then tries to help, but to no avail. Jericho then goes to attack Cody Rhodes with his belt.

MJF then runs out with a chair, but pauses. Jericho then holds Cody up and offers him to MJF for MJF to attack him. MJF then goes right after Santana and Ortiz. Jericho then bails for a moment. The crowd pops big for MJF’s choice as he celebrates a bit, but eats a codebreaker. The Young Bucks then head out and go right after Santana and Ortiz. Jericho then again gets out of the way, gets his title and celebrates a bit as Cody looks on from the ring. The Young Bucks and Dustin Rhodes join Cody Rhodes. Jericho then throws the referee down and down the ramp comes Darby Allin on his skateboard. He leaps off and takes down Jericho. He throws some punches and hits Jericho with a skateboard to the stomach and across his spine. Jericho then gets on the mic and says “you stupid idiots don’t know who you’re dealing with.” He then tells Darby Allin next week, “It’s your funeral, b—-!” Cody and company then stand tall in the ring as the show comes to a close.
