PR: Tom Lawlor vs Lord Crewe Headlines a New Episode of the “UWFi Rules Contenders Series” this Wednesday Night

Former UFC Fighter and MLW Champion “Filthy” Tom Lawlor will make his return to shoot-style pro wrestling this Wednesday, March 31st, when he faces the “Bareknuckle Berserker” Lord Crewe in the main event of a new episode of the UWFi Rules Contenders Series on IndependentWrestling.TV.

Lawlor (1-0 under UWFi Rules) rose to fame as a cast member of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Nogueira vs. Team Mir, ultimately picking 10 MMA victories and winning the Major League Wrestling World Championship. He is currently splitting time between professional wrestling and mixed martial arts, and is scheduled to participate in the Professional Fighting League’s 205 pound tournament this Spring.

His opponent, Crewe (2-1 under UWFi Rules) is a bare knuckle fighter out of Ohio. Crewe enters arguably the biggest fight of his professional wrestling career as a heavy underdog, but he’s repeatedly shown his toughness in both Paradigm’s UWFi Rules division and in the insane world of deathmatch wrestling.

Lawlor vs Crewe will headline a five fight card, airing this Wednesday at 10PM ET / 7PM PT on IWTV. In the evening’s co-main, long-time independent wrestlers will face-off as Crux Wrestling Academy founder Kerry Awful makes his UWFi Rules division debut against “The Baddest Man Alive” Aaron Williams (2-1).

The undercard will also see a pair of former Paradigm Champions make their returns to UWFi Rules division action. First, Indiana native “The Wildheart” Cole Radrick (2-3) will enter a fight with a size advantage for the first-time ever as he faces UWFi Rules Contenders Series season one standout “The Shooterweight” YOYA (1-1).

Then “The Shooter” Freddie Hudson (1-0) returns to the rule-set that allowed him to capture the Paradigm Championship, as he faces “The Suplex Assassin” Alex Kane (1-0). This is an especially intriguing contest as Hudson is looking to return to title contention, while Kane is attempting to cement his spot in the Paradigm hierarchy after being selected for a roster spot by UWFi Original Dan Severn.

In the evening’s final preliminary contest, Nick King (0-1) will make a quick turnaround to face former three-time H20 Champion “Pure Trash” Ron Mathis (0-2) in a battle between skill and strength.
