WWE’s 2K22 was released on 11 March 2022 (or 3 days earlier for pre-orders) and there’s been a lot of hype around it. There’s even more excitement after the cancelation of WWE 2K21 following the dismal performance and sales of WWE 2K20 that sent the team back to the drawing board. It looks like this has paid off as the game has improved in almost every aspect. It can surely be regarded as the best they have ever done so far. The stunning graphics, new controls, and redesigned gameplay engine have improved to the level fans have been asking for. The various modes like the MyFaction, MyRise, Universe Mode, and Creation Suite will allow the best use for our favorite characters from the roster. The attention for this year’s edition is centered on the stars highlighted on the 3 different covers.
Cover Art
In popular “2K-fashion,” there are at least 2 cover arts for the game, with one paying homage to legendary characters from the sport. This year, WWE 2K22 has 3 covers; 2 of the legendary Luchador Rey Mysterio and 1 for the bad boys of the nWo (New World Order) – Hollywood (Hulk) Hogan, SyXX, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall. The Rey Mysterio standard and deluxe packs highlight the showcase mode, which shines a light on the iconic athlete’s 20-year career in the ring like his epic win against the late great Eddie Guerero at Wrestlemania 21.
