Action-Packed Night at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2023: Title Changes, New Matches Announced and Tournament Finals Set

In an electrifying episode from the WWE Performance Center, the WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2023 Night 1 proved to be a thrilling treat for wrestling fanatics world wide. Notable actions during this explosive night included new title holders, critical advances in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, and several matches announced for the forthcoming Halloween Havoc Night 2 showdown.

The Devil’s Playground match set the tone with Roxanne Perez defeating Kiana James courtesy of the Pop Rox pinfall. Not to be outdone, Lexis King got one over Dante Chen using the Hanging Swinging Neckbreaker pinfall. Eloquent WWE NXT commentator Vic Joseph provided riveting match commentary, keeping fans glued to the action.

Notably, the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament had its semi-finals night during the Havoc. In a fierce battle, Kelani Jordan overcame Arianna Grace with a Split-Legged Moonsault pinfall, securing a spot in the finals. In the second match, Lola Vice bested Karmen Petrovic via Spinning Back Heel Kick pinfall. The stage is now set for Jordan and Vice to meet in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament finale, destined for the Halloween Havoc Night 2.

The tag team championship also witnessed a title change, with Chase U, Duke Hudson, and Andre Chase snatching the title from Tony D’Angelo & Stacks via a roller pinfall. In the Lights Out match, Blair Davenport took down Gigi Dolin with the Bea Trigger pinfall. As if these matchups weren’t exhilarating enough, Lyra Valkryia upset incumbent Becky Lynch to seize the NXT Women’s Championship using a rollup pinfall.

As the dust settled from Night 1, four new matches were announced for Halloween Havoc Night 2. The list includes a TLS match that pits Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo against The Creed Brothers, thanks to a taunting segment by Diamond Mine Shotzi and Scarlett; a grudge match for the NXT North American Championship featuring Nathan Frazer against Dominik Mysterio c; Thea Hail & Jacy Jayne challenging Chelsea Green & Piper Niven c for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship due to a heated backstage confrontation, and Stratton up against Fallon Henley in a singles match.

Wrap all these events, and you have a wrestling spectacle that not just delivered on the hype but created ripples that will be felt long after. The festival of wrestling that was NXT Halloween Havoc 2023 Night 1 leaves fans eagerly waiting for Night 2, where the best of NXT grace the canvas once again.
