Triple H recently took over the WWE’s creative and since then a lot of big changes have happened such as several former WWE Stars being brought back, an improvement in the storylines including booking of the matches and the characters and wrestling fans being excited once again. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, who is also the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and the Head of Creative isn’t done making improvements and significant changes to the WWE’s creative by a long shot and a huge part of that is bringing back several more former WWE Superstars.
Among the names discussed is former WWE NXT North American Champion and current NJPW Star JONAH as he was pushed as a huge star in WWE NXT and he was set to be called up to the main roster prior to being released. Dave Meltzer mentioned on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio that JONAH could be making his return to the WWE soon following a handshake he had with Kazuchika Okada this past week at NJPW’s Declaration Of Power Event as even though there was no talk of him leaving he was pushed as a top star in NJPW and this was his first pinfall loss in the company.
Meltzer also said WWE is going after JONAH and they really want him and the handshake he had was kind of weird, which makes you think he could be on his way back to the WWE, but he is not sure of that is the case.
This is what Dave Meltzer said:
“When [Okada vs. Jonah] was over, they did a handshake. They didn’t talk ‘finale,’ and they didn’t say he was leaving, but kind of the way that handshake… WWE’s gone after Jonah, and they want him. And even though Jonah was getting a great push here, this was actually the first pinfall loss he’s taken in New Japan [Pro Wrestling]. The handshake was kind of weird. It was almost like you think maybe he’s going back [to WWE]. But I don’t know if that’s the case or not.”
