Backstage News On Why Roman Reigns vs. Logan Paul Was Booked

As previously reported, WWE Star Logan Paul had Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns on his IMPAULSIVE podcast this past week and then kicked off this past Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown and invited the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion to a press conference in Las Vegas on Saturday.

During the press conference in Las Vegas this past Saturday, WWE officially announced that Logan Paul will be challenging “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns for his Undisputed WWE Universal Title at the WWE Crown Jewel Event in Saudi Arabia this coming November.

Dave Meltzer revealed on a recent edition of the Sunday Night’s Main Event show on TSN Radio that the reason WWE booked this match for their Crown Jewel Event is because Logan Paul is a big deal in Saudi Arabia and he is also a big deal to the Saudi Arabian prince, which is the reason why WWE books these caliber of matches for their shows in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Meltzer also noted that this event has nothing to do with selling tickets because tickets mean nothing for the, and they aren’t after TV ratings as well and the only reason for these shows is because the prince wants celebrity fights that will get press attention around the world for Saudi Arabia and this match is a great match for that.

The plan is still for “The Head Of The Table” Roman Reigns to retain his title against Logan Paul and there are still no plans for Reigns to lose his Undisputed WWE Universal Title this year.
