Big E Provides An Update On His Recovery From A Broken Neck

On the March 11th episode of WWE SmackDown, New Day member Big E was injured at the hands of Brawling Brutes member Ridge Holland after Holland hit Big E with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex outside of the ring near the announce table and the ring apron and landed gnarly on his neck, which would result in the former WWE Champion fracturing his C1 vertebra and C6 vertebra. Big E has since underwent neck surgery and doctors expect him to make a full recovery.

The New Day member spoke with These Urban Times and provided an update on his recovery from a serious neck injury, saying that he has to get some more scans at the one-year mark of his injury, which will be in March and he will see then how everything is looking. Big E also revealed that he does not have any nerve issues, strength issues or any impairment whatsoever, but to get back in the ring, he wants to make sure his C1 is rock solid, though other than that, he is feeling great.

This is what Big E said:

“I have to get some more scans at the one-year mark in March and we’ll see how everything is looking. We’ll see from there. My C1 is broken in two spots, so we obviously have to be very smart about that. I was very fortunate. I want to make sure I’m making the best decision for myself. We’ll see in March. I feel great, I’m really thankful for that. I don’t have any nerve issues, no strength issues, no impairment whatsoever. Obviously, to get back in the ring to do what we do, I want to make sure my C1 is rock solid. Other than that, I’m very blessed. I feel great.”
