Chelsea Green Believes She Deserves Better Opportunities

Chelsea Green is a WWE superstar who works on the Raw brand. She is one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions and has been doing an excellent job in portraying herself as a heel on the flagship show.

While her character is doing great, only time will tell how she fares in the women’s division and as a tag team champion. This is in light of her current situation wherein her tag team partner has changed.

Chelsea Green started off her Women’s Tag Team Champion journey with Sonya Deville, before the latter got injured. It was at this time that Piper Niven was introduced as her tag team partner. The duo have been doing well since coming together, and only time will tell how they perform together.

The one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champion spoke exclusively to SEScoops’ Ella Jay and shared her thoughts on what is next for her, her relationship with Piper Niven, and how she plans to perform in the coming years including next year’s Royal Rumble and the impact of Nia Jax’s return on the women’s roster.

When asked about how she thinks she would fair in the recently announced Royal Rumble from the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg on Saturday, January 27, Chelsea was exhilarated about the whole situation.

I’m in Orlando, but it’s pretty close. We’ll call it my hometown. Not only is it in my hometown, but this is also a very full circle moment for me. I plan on winning the 2024 Royal Rumble, and when I do, of course, I’m not only going to be a tag team champion, but I will go on to become a WWE women’s champion. I mean, the world is my oyster right now.

Chelsea hasn’t forgotten how she was eliminated in the 2023 Royal Rumble by Rhea Ripley and this set up a new record for one half of the current women’s tag team champion. Remembering her experience, the performer said that every record is a record and she believes in setting new ones in time.

Well, first of all, a record is a record. They can never erase that from WWE history, but I’m not really focusing on records right now,” Green said. “I’m more so focusing on my amazing partnership with Piper and defending these championships. Also checking in on my former partner, Sonya Deville, who is out right now. I’m just trying to focus on the now. I’m the ‘now’ type of girl right now.
