Cody Rhodes Set To Honor Indie Promotions At WrestleMania 39

Former All Elite Wrestling Star and top WWE Star “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, who was a huge part in the creation of All Elite Wrestling, left the company early last year after his contract with them expired. Cody Rhodes would then make his return to the WWE at last April’s WrestleMania 38, when he faced Seth Rollins in a Singles Match. Cody Rhodes would then suffer a torn pectoral injury before his Hell In A Cell Match against Seth “Freakin” Rollins.

Rhodes would then undergo surgery for his torn pectoral injury and after several months of rehab, The American Nightmare would finally make his highly-anticipated in-ring return at the company’s 2023 WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event last January, where he would win the Men’s Royal Rumble Match to earn an opportunity to challenge Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the main event of WWE’s WrestleMania 39.

The American Nightmare recently spoke with Peter Rosenberg of HOT 97 and revealed that he has an idea to do something special with his weight belt at WWE WrestleMania 39 and that is to list all the Indie promotions he has ever worked for because the most important thing he did was connecting with the pro wrestling fans and getting to know them and that really became his bread and butter.

This is what “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes said:

“Small spoiler, I guess, I was trying to come up with this idea for a weight belt for a very specific P.L.E. or pay-per-view, whatever you wanna call it where I wrote everybody independent promotion I worked at on it, because that was the most important thing I did was this connection with these fans and getting to know them and grassroots and that became really my bread and butter.”
