Contract Of A Former WWE Champion To Expire In A Few Months

According to Fightful Select, top WWE Star “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus’ contract with the company is set to expire in a few months, but no other details were provided other than the belief is The Celtic Warrior’s contract will be up sometime in the early part of 2024. There have been instances where the WWE extends the contract of their wrestlers, most especially if they were out of in-ring action for a long time due to injuries, but there is no word yet on if any time was added to Sheamus’ current deal with the company.

Sheamus first signed with the WWE in 2006 and he has accomplished quite a lot throughout his run with the company such as capturing the WWE United States Championship, the WWE Championship, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE RAW and WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship. The WWE legend also won the King of the Ring, the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and the Royal Rumble. Once Sheamus’ deal with the WWE expires, it is believed that he could be jumping ship to AEW similar to how Edge is also rumored to.
