Creed Brothers Emerge Victorious in RAW Tag Team Turmoil, Cody Rhodes Eyes Royal Rumble 2024

Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena witnessed an action-packed edition of WWE RAW on November 27, 2023, with commentators Michael Cole and Wade Barrett calling the shots. The night featured high-stakes battles, new matchups announced, and the debut of a fresh RAW intro theme, setting the stage for future showdowns and hinting at the next major player in the Royal Rumble event.

The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship #1 Contender Tag Team Turmoil match saw an unforgiving gauntlet where The Creed Brothers, Julius and Brutus, outlasted the competition. The Creed Brothers managed to achieve victory by overcoming formidable teams such as Imperium, The New Day, DIY, Indus Sher, and Alpha Academy. In the climactic end, a top rope superplex from Julius followed by the Brutus Ball secured their pinfall win and number one contendership for the tag team titles.

In other match outcomes, Bronson Reed and Ivar’s brute clash resulted in a Double Countout, leaving their feud unsettled. Nia Jax triumphed over Zoey Stark with a devastating Annihilator. In the Women’s Tag Team Division, the reigning champions Chelsea Green and Piper Niven successfully retained their titles against challengers Natalya and Tegan Nox, thanks to an impactful Running Crossbody Splash.

In singles competition, a seasoned Randy Orton proved too much for Dominik Mysterio, dispatching him with his signature RKO.

A fresh battle cry echoed through the arena as “Born to Be,” crafted by WWE’s def rebel music group, marked its official debut as RAW’s new entrance theme. The energizing track set an invigorating tone for the night’s events and the future of RAW.

Among the evening’s electrifying announcements, Cody Rhodes declared his intent to tackle the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble as its first official entrant. In a poignant promo, Rhodes referenced his victory in the Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series WarGames 2023 and honored his late father’s legacy. However, his announcement was overshadowed by the cunning Shinsuke Nakamura, who blindsided Rhodes with a red mist attack, indicating a new rivalry on the horizon.

Looking to the next edition of RAW on December 4 in Albany, New York, two significant matches were announced. Seth Rollins, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, is set to face Jey Uso in a title match. A promo segment had Drew McIntyre, still reflecting on his WarGames defeat, demanding a title rematch which led to the announcement of Uso as Rollins’ next challenger. Additionally, after a heated backstage exchange, a singles match between Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre was added to the card, promising another night of intense competition as McIntyre aims to ascend the WWE ladder once again.

Fans are now eagerly anticipating the next chapter in these unfolding sagas, as WWE continues to tease the road to the Royal Rumble and the potential clashes that it brings.
