Former WWE Superstar Set To Return To The Company

Top Japanese star and former WWE Superstar Kairi Sane, who initially signed with the company in 2017, when she competed under the NXT banner, has really made a name for herself in the international ranks and has amassed a ton of success upon her return to Japan. According to PWInsider.com, Kairi Sane has reached an agreement with the WWE to return to the company soon, but there’s no word yet on when that will be and Kairi has yet to comment on her return to the company.

Kairi Sane captured the WWE NXT Women’s Title in 2019 and would be called up to the main roster to be paired up with none other than former WWE Women’s Champion “The Empress Of Tomorrow” Asuka. They were known as the Kabuki Warriors and would become a one-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Kairi Sane’s contract with the WWE expired in February 2022, but she would return to Japan and work for the WWE as an ambassador until her contract was up. Kairi would then become the first-ever IWGP Women’s Champion at the NJPW x STARDOM Historic X-Over PPV, when she defeated Mayu Iwatani in the main event. She then later dropped the IWGP Women’s Championship to former WWE Star Mercedes Moné (Sasha Banks).
