Huge Update On Bobby Roode’s Current WWE Status

Pro wrestling legend Bobby Roode has had a lot of success not only in the WWE, but in every other pro wrestling promotion he has worked for. Roode is mostly notably known for his 12-year tenure in IMPACT Wrestling/TNA Wrestling, where he is a 6-time TNA World Tag Team Champion, a one-time TNA King Of The Mountain Champion and a 2-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Bobby Roode would also become a 1-time WWE NXT Champion, a 1-time WWE U.S. Champion, a two-time WWE RAW Tag Team Champion with two different partners and a 1-time WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion.

Despite his accomplishments, Roode has not competed in a match since June and with him being a Triple H guy and Triple H being in charge of WWE creative, it would only make sense that Roode would get the push fans expect him to receive, but unfortunately a return to in-ring action is not possible for him at the moment because it appears that Roode is injured and is not medically cleared to compete.

The Glorious One took to Instagram last September and revealed that he went to Birmingham, Alabama to undergo some sort of a medical procedure, but he didn’t provide additional details on what went on in Alabama, though it was revealed on his post that he visited Southlake Orthopedics and he even thanked Andrew Sports Medicine, a facility that works with injured wrestlers and athletes.

Roode could be making his return to the promotion soon as he recently took part in a World Cup-themed photoshoot for the WWE, where he would wear a World Cup jersey of his home country of Canada and much like other WWE Stars who were part of the photoshoot, their respective brands were shown on the video wall behind them, so it looks like The Glorious One could be making his return to the blue brand once he is medically cleared by the WWE doctors and this means he will no longer be in a tag team with his long-time tag team partner Dolph Ziggler, who is currently on the red brand. Roode’s last WWE matchup took place at a house show last June 25th against Omos.
