John Cena Expected To Compete At WWE’s WrestleMania 39

WWE legend John Cena is considered by many as one of the greatest, if not the greatest Superstar ever and his 16 World Championships as well as his more than 20 years on top of the pro wrestling business is concrete proof of that. Cena was last seen on WWE TV on an episode of WWE Monday Night RAW in June when he celebrated his 20th anniversary with the company and he would be introduced by Vince McMahon.

It was also on that night when the 16-time World Champion was expected to announce his WWE SummerSlam Match with Austin Theory, but that didn’t happen as Cena instead revealed that he wasn’t sure when he would be wrestling again. Variety previously announced that 16-time World Champion John Cena is going to make an appearance on the final WWE SmackDown episode of the year and it has since been noted that Cena will be teaming with Kevin Owens to battle The Bloodline (Undisputed WWE Universal Champion “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns and “The Honorary Uce” Sami Zayn) in Tag Team action, which will be taking place on Friday, December 30 from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. John Cena made an appearance on WWE SmackDown a couple of weeks ago and revealed his involvement in the match.

Dave Meltzer reported on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Cena is currently expected to compete at WWE’s WrestleMania 39 in Inglewood, California despite there being some doubts in the past about whether or not he could make it due to his busy filming schedule. It was also noted on the report that the WWE legend is working on his schedule to make sure he will be at WrestleMania, but the belief is that he will definitely get it done and that John Cena will not be available to the company through the month of February and March due to him filming a movie outside the U.S.

There’s no word yet on who Cena will be facing at WrestleMania, but under Vince McMahon’s regime, the WWE was looking to have him wrestle Austin Theory as the former Chairman and CEO thought Theory could be the next John Cena, however with Paul “Triple H” Levesque now in charge of the company’s creative, plans may have changed and we could see Cena face a different WWE Superstar, but both Cena and Austin Theory have expressed interest in wrestling each other.
