John Cena Is Set To Make His Return To WWE TV Next Month

According to Ryan Satin of FOX Sports, 16-time World Champion and WWE legend John Cena is set to make his return to WWE TV on the September 1st episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown from the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It was also mentioned on the report that the 16-time World Champion will be heading to India with the rest of the WWE’s wrestlers and crew for their upcoming Superstar Spectacle Event set to take place on Friday, September 8th inside the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India, which will be the WWE’s first live event in India since 2017.

John Cena’s most recent appearance for the WWE took place at their 2023 WWE Money In The Bank Premium Live Event in London, England, when he surprised the WWE fans and talked about the company looking to bring WrestleMania to Europe in the near future. Cena would be interrupted by Grayson Waller and this would lead to Cena hitting Grayson Waller with an Attitude Adjustment. Cena last competed for the WWE at their WrestleMania 39 Night 1 Event last April, when he challenged then-WWE United States Champion Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship, but came up short.

Cena, who made a cameo appearance via a pre-recorded video message last Friday on WWE SmackDown, when he commented on WWE Hall of Famer Edge’s 25th anniversary in the business, took to Twitter to confirm that he will be appearing on both the September 1st SmackDown episode and the September 8th Superstar Spectacle Event.
