Kevin Owens Has Been Working With An Injury For Quite Some Time

One-half of the reigning Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens did not compete at last week’s live events and he didn’t compete on this past Monday night’s episode of WWE RAW either. According to Reddit insider kerrmit125, Kevin Owens is legitimately injured and is currently suffering from broken ribs. The report also indicates that the injury recovery time is unknown, but what Owens is suffering from is obviously serious enough to keep him out of in-ring action for a while.

Dave Meltzer revealed on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that Kevin Owens is currently suffering from a fractured rib and he has been working with that injury for quite some time now, so the WWE has been waiting for the perfect moment to work an angle to write Owens off of WWE TV and that is what they did on WWE RAW this past Monday night. Meltzer also stated that he doesn’t know how long Kevin Owens will be out of in-ring action and what the status of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles will be, but he is sure that it will all be addressed in the next couple of days.

Since fractured or broken ribs takes up to 6 weeks to heal, Kevin Owens will not be competing at next month’s WWE SummerSlam Event. Owens last competed in WWE during last week’s WWE RAW in Atlanta, where he and Sami Zayn battled “Senior Money In The Bank” Damian Priest and WWE NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio of The Judgment Day in Tag Team action.
