Konosuke Takeshita On Report That WWE Is Interested In Him

WWE is more aggressive than ever in their attempt to bring back former stars and even acquire talents from other companies. Dave Meltzer said on a previous edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that WWE is looking for a big Japanese talent and that Konosuke Takeshita is exactly what the company is looking for. Takeshita, who recently completed his tour in the U.S. by competing in AEW for around four months, spoke to Cultaholic.com immediately following a PROGRESS Wrestling Event on reports that WWE is interested in signing him.

According to Takeshita, he isn’t interested in WWE and his next goal is to compete in more matches in AEW. Takeshita also said that he hopes to return to the United States in October and possibly compete in both the U.S. and the U.K.

This is what Konosuke Takeshita said:

“To be honest, now I’m not interested in WWE. My next goal is more fights in AEW I hope. So I have to go to back to Japan in August and September. Maybe, not decided yet, I hope I go back to America in October. Then if I stay in the US I can come to the UK more times. From Japan to the UK is so far but US to UK is maybe seven hours. It’s possible.”

Takeshita also took to his Twitter and commented on his experience competing in the United States.

You can check out Konosuke Takeshita’s tweet below, along with a translation of what he said:

“32 matches. Of those, 29 were single matches (!?) It was four months that I grew so much that I felt like I was in the Room of Spirit and Time! It is a miracle that there were no injuries or flight troubles! Thank god for wrestling.”
