Latest News On The WWE’s Plans For Their Next Draft

WWE held their last draft over a year ago on the October 1, 2021 episode of WWE RAW as well as on the October 4, 2021 episode of WWE SmackDown and it was speculated that the 2022 WWE Draft will be taking place immediately following last September’s WWE Clash At The Castle as the WWE typically holds their draft in the month of September or October, but it just didn’t happen.

Dave Meltzer reported on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that WWE has talked about holding the draft shortly after WrestleMania 39 this April, but that has not been confirmed yet and a date was even talked about at one point of when the WWE will hold this year’s draft, though WWE just didn’t pull the trigger.

This is what Dave Meltzer said:

“No, I should ask about that. There’s been some talk of waiting until after WrestleMania to do it. There was talk of September/October, which I guess is when it was traditionally done, and they just didn’t do it. There was a date that was even talked about at one point, and they just didn’t pull the trigger on it.”
