Matt Riddle Teases Possibly Returning To WWE TV Soon

Top WWE Monday RAW Stars Matt Riddle and Kevin Owens challenged Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos for their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships on the December 5th episode of WWE RAW, but they would come up short. Immediately following the match, Sami Zayn and The Usos continued their beatdown on Riddle until Owens made the save and chased them from ringside with a steel chair. Solo Sikoa then completely destroyed Matt Riddle and he was taken away in an ambulance.

It was mentioned on previous reports that this viscous attack angle was done as a way to write Riddle off of WWE TV for a number of weeks as a result of Riddle failing a second drug test this year and it was expected that The Original Bro would be going to rehab. Matt also violated the company’s wellness policy this past summer and that was the reason why his match with Seth “Freakin” Rollins was removed from SummerSlam and moved to Clash at the Castle.

Since he was written off of WWE TV for failing a second drug test, “The Original Bro” Matt Riddle has been enjoying life with his kids and girlfriend, but that doesn’t mean he will no longer be competing inside of a squared circle as he recently took to his Twitter and teased possibly returning to action soon while celebrating Valentine’s Day. There’s no word yet on when Riddle will return to action, but updates will be provided once it has been made available.
