New Match Officially Announced For WWE SummerSlam

WWE’s next Premium Live Event known as SummerSlam is set to take place on Saturday, August 5th inside Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan and the company is looking to stack the card from top to bottom, with reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns putting his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against Jey Uso in a Tribal Combat Match as one of the show’s main event matches.

The company has already confirmed several matches for next month’s WWE SummerSlam Event such as Brock Lesnar facing “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes in a Singles Match, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins putting his WWE World Heavyweight Title on the line against The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Logan Paul taking on Ricochet in Singles action.

WWE recently confirmed another match for next month’s SummerSlam and that match will see Ronda Rousey battle Shayna Baszler in a Women’s Division Singles Match. This rivalry began at earlier this month’s WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, when Shayna Baszler turned on Ronda Rousey by attacking The Baddest Woman On The Planet from behind and costing them the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Last Monday night’s episode of RAW then saw Baszler challenge Rousey to a fight, which Rousey later accepted, but it wasn’t mentioned at the time that the match will take place at SummerSlam.
