News On Why Sami Zayn Was Written Off Of WWE TV

Last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW saw “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre brutally attack Sami Zayn during their one-on-one match that led to McIntyre picking up the huge win. Moments later during a backstage segment, McIntyre attacked Zayn once again and left him laying. This past Monday night on RAW, WWE commentator Michael Cole revealed that Zayn is out with a “partially torn meniscus,” with no timeframe given for his return.

Dave Meltzer stated on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that he was told Zayn asked for time off and was granted that time off, but he doesn’t know if the injury that was revealed is legitimate or not as Zayn never asked time off due to an injury, although the wrestlers are always hurt anyway.
