News On WWE Returning To India For Superstar Spectacle

It was previously reported that the WWE will be returning to India on Friday, September 8 from inside the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium (Gachibowli Indoor Stadium) in Hyderabad, India for their event known as Superstar Spectacle, which will be the company’ss first live event in India since 2017 and 16-time World Champion John Cena will be grazing the WWE fans in India with his presence by appearing live on the show.

Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that the event will be a show only to be aired in India and not on Peacock or the WWE Network and the stadium where the show will be taking place will only have a setup of 3500-4000 fans as this show is not about drawing a big crowd, but a show that WWE’s business partners in India are bringing the promotion in, which will air on Sony Six. Meltzer also noted that India is the WWE’s second biggest television revenue stream ever, behind the United States and India even makes more money on television than Canada and the U.K.

Other WWE Superstars advertised for WWE Superstar Spectacle include Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, Matt Riddle, Ludwig Kaiser, Jinder Mahal, Veer, Sanga, Drew McIntyre, “The Man” Becky Lynch, Natalya, WWE Intercontinental Champion “The Ring General” GUNTHER and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
