The complex world of pro wrestling is buzzing with speculation that Ridge Holland of the Brawling Brutes could soon be forging a singles career in WWE. This comes after a series of events signaling possible cracks in the often fractious relationship between the Brawling Brutes team.
On the November 17 episode of SmackDown, there was a significant shift in the dynamics of the Brawling Brutes. This was spotted during the three-way tag team no. 1 contenders match, that saw the Street Profits come out triumphant against Pretty Deadly and the Brawling Brutes duo, Ridge Holland & Butch.
Following a seemingly inadvertent kick from Butch to Holland, there was an uneasy tension brewing towards the conclusion of the match. The crossfire didn’t end in the ring; a visibly perturbed Holland pushed his teammate Butch and made his exit solo, hinting at a potential break up amongst the ranks.
The speculation of a rift was further fueled at the recent untelevised WWE live events in Tupelo, Mississippi, and Jonesboro, Arkansas. A significant revelation in these events was a singles match of Ridge Holland against Karrion Kross, pointing towards a possible departure from the tag team action to the singles counterpart for Holland.
However, Butch isn’t far behind, as he too, in recent weeks, has been seen battling it out in singles matches against Kross in live events.
Awaiting on the sidelines is the Brawling Brutes commander Sheamus. Currently recovering from an injury that has kept him out of action for over three months, Sheamus’s imminent return is expected to impact the future career pathways for both Holland and Butch.
From the same set of live events, we also got a glance into the post Santos Escobar-Rey Mysterio split situation of the LWO group. This adds another dimension to the already dramatic landscape of WWE.
Whether the potential singles endeavor of the Brawling Brutes paves a new era or makes a splash with Sheamus’s return remains unknown. Watch this space for more updates on the dynamic and ever-evolving world of pro wrestling.
