Rick Boogs Makes A Controversial Statement Following His WWE Release

Rick Boogs is no longer with the WWE. He was released on Thursday along with Dolph Ziggler, Mustafa Ali, Elias, Shelton Benjamin, Riddick Moss, Emma, Aliyah, “Top Dolla” AJ Francis, while, Quincy Elliott, Shanky, Bryson Montana, Yulisa Leon, Dabba-Kato, Kevin Ventura-Cortez, Alexis Gray, and Daniel McArthur were released.

Rick has now come out and spoken about his release stating that he was let go by the WWE due to a backstage power struggle. He joined the performance center in 2017 and was moved to the main roster. He was paired with Shinsuke Nakamura, but then returned from a torn quad earlier this year.

According to a news published by WrestlingNews.co, Boogs came out on his YouTube channel and talked about his release. He said that his release happened due to a backstage power play. There’s no clear indication on what Boogs meant by it, as Vince McMahon has been making the necessary changes to the WWE creative since April, while Triple H is running day-to-day creative operations in the company.

It’s been an interesting time in my life with my job in WWE being terminated due to a backstage political power play, at least, that’s my opinion of it. But now is not the time to talk about that. I will get into detail about that when the time is right, but as far as right now, we’re going to do a gym tour…

Rick made it clear that he would talk about this matter at a later date as today is not the day or the time to go into details about his release. We would have to wait and see what unravels in this developing story.

What do you think Rick Boogs wanted to say in his video? Sound off in the comments.
