Roxanne Perez Beats Mandy Rose To Win NXT Women’s Title

The opening segment of last Tuesday night’s episode of WWE NXT saw Roxanne Perez kick the show off to address the WWE NXT Universe following her huge victory at NXT Deadline in the inaugural Women’s Iron Survivor Match. Perez was then interrupted by Grayson Waller, who bragged about his win in the first-ever Men’s Iron Survivor Match, but Perez told Waller that she was the first to do it.

WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker then made his way out and had an exchange of words with Grayson Waller until Breakker made his way up to the fans in attendance and chased Waller away. Then-WWE NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose then attacked Perez from behind and Perez was so fired up that she could not wait for NXT New Year’s Evil to face Mandy for the WWE NXT Women’s Title, which is why she told Mandy that she wanted her title opportunity to take place on the show. Mandy Rose would accept Perez’s challenge and the match was made official for the main event.

During the main event, Mandy dominated majority of the match, but Roxanne Perez did have some offense in and she hit Mandy with her Pop Rocks finisher to beat Rose and become the new NXT Women’s Champion to end Mandy’s WWE NXT Women’s Championship reign that lasted 413 days. After the main event matchup, WWE Hall of Famer and Roxanne Perez’s trainer Booker T was extremely emotional and he celebrated with the new NXT Women’s Champion.
