WWE is doing everything to make its shows appealing. This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw started and ended with DX. While they were backstage during the beginning, the end saw them in the ring celebrating the 25-year anniversary of the biggest faction in the WWE (then WWF).
D-Generation X member Sean Waltman took to the mic and mentioned The Ninth Wonder of the World, Chyna. Chyna was a trailblazer in the wrestling business for women and her work was so exceptional that she even captured titles only reserved for men.
She was the first woman to enter a Men’s Royal Rumble match. Her work was inspirational and with this mention, it looks like she may be on the list of WWE Hall of Fame Inductees of 2023.
While Chyna passed away in 2016 and couldn’t be there in person, Billy Gunn was another member of The New Age Outlaws who was absent from this reunion. He works with WWE’s rival company, AEW.
Triple H told the members not to cuss at the beginning of the show, and the beginning was so good, that you could watch the three-hour show for the same. The pop for DX, followed by the ‘Are you Ready’ and the traditional catchphrase made way for some exceptional time on WWE television.
WWE is doing all in its power to bring the glory days back to the Red brand and the company in general after Vince’s hush-money scandal. He wouldn’t let people mention Chyna, but it looks like the new regime has a change of heart and we may see The Ninth Wonder of the World take her rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
