Seth Rollins Takes on Hollywood Role Amid MCU Schedule Changes

In the world of professional wrestling, where larger-than-life characters clash inside the squared circle, there’s another arena in which some of professional wrestling’s brightest stars are making waves: the silver screen. The recent shake-ups in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) release dates are affecting not just the fans but the stars involved, including WWE’s own Seth Rollins.

Variety has reported a significant reshuffling of several high-profile Marvel movies. “Deadpool 3,” initially set for a May 3, 2024 release, has been pushed back to July 26, 2024. This new premiere date means that “Deadpool 3” will now occupy the slot originally intended for “Captain America: Brave New World”—a movie that notably features Seth Rollins in an undisclosed role.

Wrestling enthusiasts and moviegoers alike are curious about the crossover talents of Rollins, who has proven his acting chops within WWE programming. Though he has been tight-lipped about the specifics of his role, his transition from the wrestling ring to the Marvel Universe is already generating a buzz.

Following the changes, “Captain America: Brave New World” will grace cinemas a bit later, with a new launch on Valentine’s Day in 2025. This romantic occasion may see fans flocking to theaters for a blend of love and heroics, with Anthony Mackie leading the charge as the renowned patriotic hero.

As the MCU dances a delicate ballet of logistics and timing, another anticipated title, “Thunderbolts,” shifts from December 20, 2024, to a summer release on July 25, 2025. And true believers must muster a bit more patience for the daywalker’s return in “Blade,” now appearing later in the year on November 7, 2025.

On a different note, WWE fans in London have something special to look forward to. If you want to join in the excitement of WWE Survivor Series 2023, there’s an exclusive opportunity to watch it live with the WrestleTalk crew. Celebrate one of pro wrestling’s biggest events with personalities like Sullivan, Luke, Dan Layton, and Pete at the WrestleTalk Survivor Series Watch Party, set at the Long Arm Sports Bar & Pub. Secure your tickets soon, as this is an experience that’s likely to reach capacity quickly.

As we witness the intersection of wresting and superhero action at the box office, it’s clear that the versatility of WWE’s talent transcends the boundaries of any one form of entertainment. Seth Rollins is charting a course into the MCU’s constellation of stars, and fans are eager to see what kind of impact the “Architect” will have on the already storied franchise. Keep an eye on the skies—and the ring—for more updates as they unfold.
