The Rock Drops New Trailer For ‘Tales From The Territories’

Last month, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions and “Dark Side of the Ring” creators Jason Eisner and Evan Husney announced that they would be launching a partnership to bring wrestling fans some new content to their arsenal – a docuseries titled “Tales From The Territories.”

On each episode, “Tales From The Territories” will have legendary wrestlers and other guest stars telling their stories from the old territory days.

Here is the official synopsis of the docuseries:

The territory days were the time before wrestling expanded nationally, when different areas across the US and Canada, aka “Territories,” were areas dominated by unscrupulous bookers, rabid fans who fervently believed in their favorite characters and fearless wrestlers who blurred the lines between fiction and reality both inside and outside the ring.

In other words, this is going to be entertaining as hell.

It’s not just the words that grab you either. The Rock released a hard-hitting visual on his Twitter that will pull you in as well, footage of multiple legends speaking about their chaotic days from the territories.

WATCH:

The legends featured in the trailer are Bret “The Hitman” Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Diamond Dallas Page, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Kevin Sullivan, Jimmy Hart, Kevin Von Erich, Madusa, Abdullah The Butcher, Curtis “Rocky” Laueka, David Schultz, Steve Keirn and “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin.

Other stars are set to make appearances on the series as well, including Jim Ross, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Ted DiBiase and Michael Hayes. It’s been confirmed that all four will be appearing on the episode about Mid-South Wrestling.

“Tales From The Territories” premieres on Vice TV on Tuesday, October 4th at 10:00 PM ET.

I’ll have my popcorn ready. Will you? Sound off in the comments!
