The Rock’s Daughter Makes Her Debut On WWE NXT As Ava Raine

This past Tuesday night’s post-Halloween Havoc episode of WWE NXT saw the debut of a fourth member of The Schism, when the other three members of the group Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid cut promos and discussed the mission statement of the group as well as talk about how they are multiple roots to one single tree. Gacy then told the mystery person to show their true self, to take the next step and to sit under The Schism’s tree, but they must remember there is no going back.

The mystery person then revealed herself to be none other than Simone Johnson, daughter of WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and said her name is Ava Raine. Members of the NXT Universe cheered for Ava Raine as soon as she revealed herself. Raine said the love and acceptance of The Schism has shown her and has defied any preconceived notion of who she is supposed to be. Ava Raine then said this finally completes her. The segment then ended with The Schism hugging and Gacy revealing that this collective of hearts beating together is for the roots of only one tree.

WWE announced back in February of 2020 that Raine began her training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and by May of 2020, she had already signed a contract with the company. Ava underwent a third knee surgery in September of 2020 and has yet to make her in-ring debut for the WWE, but that will be changing soon now that she had made her WWE NXT debut.
