While WWE NXT remains one of the most divisive wrestling shows today (despite a recent change in presentation), owing primarily to the massive shift in tone and style from the beloved Black and Gold Era, there have been a number of aspects surrounding the show on which many have come to agree. Most wrestling fans agree that Santos Escobar is the Latino superstar WWE has been looking for, that Bron Breakker is a future WrestleMania main eventer, and that The Creed Brothers are the future of WWE tag team wrestling.
Tiffany Stratton of the NXT Women’s Division is another wrestler who has a lot of fans. Stratton made her debut in late 2021 and has already taken to wrestling like a prodigy, becoming the true standout of the NXT Women’s Division. While fans wait for Daddy’s Little Girl to either win the NXT Women’s Championship or be called up early, as Alexa Bliss and Carmella did years ago, one thing is certain: Tiffany Stratton is the future of WWE’s Women’s Division.
Tiffany Stratton’s character is most closely related to Ashley Tisdale’s Sharpay character from Disney’s High School Musical series. Stratton’s character is a spoiled rich blonde girl who seems to always be wearing pink, and she feels very inspired by her role. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as Tiffany has used it effectively in NXT thus far.
After a few early vignettes overplayed the sex factor, Stratton’s character has evolved into a proper spoiled brat, albeit one who is extremely talented. While the character will almost certainly require some tweaking when she moves up to the main roster, it is clear that Tiffany Stratton is one of the best promos in the NXT Women’s Division right now, even outshining the current champion, Mandy Rose. Rose is already on the main roster, so comparing Stratton to her is a huge compliment.
Being compared to Charlotte Flair is a difficult task. Despite the fact that Charlotte’s main roster run was marred by over-reliance and poor booking, Flair remains one of the most talented women’s wrestlers to ever put on a pair of boots. Tiffany Stratton’s NXT run has already drawn comparisons to the record-breaking former WWE Women’s Champion due to similarities in build and athleticism.
