Top WWE Star Set To Miss Next Week’s Episode Of RAW

Top WWE Superstar “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre made his return to WWE at earlier this month’s WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event from the O2 Arena in London, England after missing more than two months of action following this past April’s WrestleMania 39 when he took on WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER and Sheamus in a Triple Threat Match for GUNTHER’s WWE Intercontinental Title. After GUNTHER successfully defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Matt Riddle at Money in the Bank, Drew McIntyre confronted the WWE Intercontinental Champion and hit him with his finisher to put him down.

Since then, it has been rumored and teased that Drew McIntyre will be challenging GUNTHER for his WWE Intercontinental Championship at next month’s SummerSlam, but the match has not been made official as of this writing. McIntyre and Matt Riddle appeared on WWE RAW this past Monday night and faced Lugwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci of Imperium in Tag Team action and walked out of the match with a win. In a backstage segment, Drew McIntyre, who continued teasing his showdown with GUNTHER at SummerSlam, made a reference about missing next week’s episode of RAW due to company business.

According to PWInsider.com, there is truth behind what McIntyre said on the promo as he has booked an outside gig through the WWE and will be filming it next week. There’s no word yet on what that gig is outside of the WWE, but updates will be provided once it has been made available.
