Update on WWE Stars Dexter Lumis, Odyssey Jones, and Omos: Awaiting Creative Plans

In recent developments within the WWE universe, there have been several reports concerning the status of some of its most intriguing athletes who have been noticeably absent from television broadcasts throughout the majority of 2023. According to valuable insights procured from Fightful Select, fans and industry insiders have been keen on learning more about the whereabouts and futures of Dexter Lumis, Odyssey Jones, and the towering Omos.

Dexter Lumis, recognized for his unique and enigmatic character, has not been seen in in-ring action on WWE programming since his last match, which aired on the May 29 episode of Main Event. While absent from the screen and recent tapings, reports clarify that Lumis is in good health. The explanation behind his disappearance from the WWE canvas is not injury-related but rather a hiatus while waiting for new creative directions to unfold.

Odyssey Jones, the powerhouse grappler with a vibrant personality, made an impactful impression during his recent return at WWE’s Holiday Tour live events this month. However, despite this activity, fans are yet to witness his presence in televised events since his last appearance on April 4 on NXT. Soon after, he was drafted to Raw but hasn’t stepped into the ring on the brand yet. Speculations had surfaced about him potentially joining Bobby Lashley’s faction on SmackDown, but there has been no confirmation, leaving his television return open-ended.

Lastly, the conversation turns to the colossal wrestler Omos, who has been out of the TV spotlight since his participation in the Slim Jim Battle Royal at SummerSlam. His last significant televised match dates back to Backlash 2023 in May, where he suffered a loss to Seth Rollins. There’s been mention from WWE insiders suggesting Omos could be poised to take on an “attraction” role within the company, continuing the tradition of distinct and captivating characters. While TV appearances have been sparse for Omos, he has maintained a strong presence in WWE’s live events circuit, with his most recent match occurring on December 16 in Moline, Illinois, against Akira Tozawa.

As WWE’s creative team crafts the future storylines and arcs that will bring these athletes back to our screens, the anticipation among the wrestling community is palpable. Fans are eager to see how these talents will be reintegrated into the current WWE landscape.
