Karrion Kross is back with the WWE. He got pushed as a main event superstar since his return. The talented 37-year-old got released under Vince’s regime, but with Triple H in charge, he seems to be in the main event picture. As per Dave Meltzer of WON, the superstar should get a huge push. Gunther had to face Drew McIntyre after the Clash At The Castle. With Kross’ return, there seems to be a change in the plan. Reports suggested that Gunther was getting buried under the McMahon regime. It all seems to be changing with the new creative command.
The change could make the previously rumoured Gunther vs McIntyre match turn into Kross vs McIntyre. Gunther is a fighting champion who defended his Intercontinental Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura and successfully retained the title. It’s evident that WWE is building new superstars, but does it mean some talented superstars will be on the shelf? Will it not create a moment of euphoria amongst those that weren’t in favour of HHH taking charge? WWE has a plethora of superstars who can be quality performers to Gunther. Is this the start of burying Gunther, or is it something else?
It’s a given that Gunther will get his push in time. Kross got booked as the second biggest heel after Reigns. His return gave the fans this possibility. It’s a good sign because Kross has the capabilities of a champion. He can cut promos, be a heel, defend the title and help elevate other superstars. Kross’ return gets speculated as an opportunity to build SmackDown around Reigns, McIntyre and Kross in the future. It’s an excellent opportunity for everyone involved as a push is essential in giving the deserving ones a choice to showcase their talent. Will it also open doors of opportunity for other superstars in The Land of Opportunity? Time has all the answers.
