WWE And Drew McIntyre Have Yet To Come To Terms On A New Deal

According to PWInsider.com, WWE wanted “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre to make his return to the company by this past weekend and they got exactly that when Drew McIntyre appeared out of nowhere and confronted WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER following GUNTHER’s successful title defense against “The Original Bro” Matt Riddle. It was also mentioned on the report that the process of Drew’s return was impeded because Drew wanted a strong storyline where he could make his return in so it looks like both the WWE and McIntyre got what they wanted in that regard, but Drew McIntyre making his return to WWE TV does not mean that he has signed a new contract with the company or they have come to terms on an extension.

Drew McIntyre’s contract with WWE is set to expire in early 2024 and PWInsider.com has mentioned that nothing has changed since it was reported several weeks back that both sides were far apart on coming to terms on a new deal due to money. WWE Chief Content Officer and Head of Creative Triple H revealed during the post-Money in the Bank Press Conference that people shouldn’t believe everything they read on the internet as majority of what is mentioned is untrue and if WWE and McIntyre has an issue, then that is news to him. More updates will be provided as soon as it is made available, but Drew McIntyre is scheduled to make an appearance on tonight’s episode of WWE RAW.
