WWE Had Pitched An Idea For Bray Wyatt To Be Paired With Mike Bennett

Bray Wyatt made his highly-anticipated return to the WWE at last year’s Extreme Rules Event after the company initially released him in 2020 and it was at the time that Bray had puppets in the crowd as a call back to his Firefly Fun House segments and as part of his gimmick and it was speculated that WWE will be creating a new group for Wyatt.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, prior to WWE releasing Mike Bennett and Eric Young in 2020, Paul Heyman pitched to have them be involved with Bray Wyatt, but the pitch was made to Bennett only and not Young that Bennett will play the role of Sister Abigail, unfortunately after Bennett and Young were released, Wyatt was released later that year as well.

A recent report from Fightful Select notes that the plans got canceled and the pitch did not get far, most especially after Bray was sidelined with an illness shortly before last April’s WWE WrestleMania 39 as Wyatt had been paired with Bo Dallas as Uncle Howdy and Alexa Bliss, Dallas disappeared from TV and Bliss became pregnant. The report then notes that more recent pitches were made, one of which was for Bliss to join the faction and that creative plans that were set in January would’ve started after WrestleMania 39.
