WWE Is Interested In Signing Top AEW Star Kenny Omega

WWE has been showing interest in a number of top AEW Stars for quite some time now and one of them is none other than one-third of the reigning AEW World Trios Champions Kenny Omega, but the WWE also has their eyes set on another top star in pro wrestling and that is none other than former IWGP World and United States Heavyweight Champion Jay White. Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there is a “much bigger major free agent” in play right now that WWE sees as a priority over Jay White, which WrestlingNews.co learned is top AEW Star Kenny Omega as his contract with All Elite Wrestling is set to expire soon or has already expired.

Fightful Select reports that several sources have said they overheard AEW President and CEO Tony Khan reveal that time “could be” added to Kenny Omega’s current AEW deal because of injuries he sustained, but since Kenny Omega has good legal representation, time being added to his current AEW deal isn’t a guarantee.

Prior to signing with AEW 4 years ago, Kenny Omega had talks with WWE and he has had nothing but good things to say about the promotion and Omega was even open to the idea of AEW and WWE having a working relationship, however that doesn’t seem to be a possibility right now, though Kenny Omega joining the WWE is something that could happen. Omega signing with the WWE is not 100% guaranteed, but seeing how the company has pushed “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes as a top-tier Superstar and the money The American Nightmare was offered, anything is possible.
