WWE NXT Star Reveals She Is No Longer With The Company

In September of last year, WWE made a shocking and unexpected announcement that the NXT UK brand will be going on a major hiatus and that the company will launch a new brand called NXT Europe sometime in 2023. A number of WWE NXT UK Stars were released from their contracts, while the others were moved to the main WWE NXT brand, though nearly a year later there have been no updates on the new brand and it has not been talked about either what the status of Aleah James is.

Aleah James, who broke into the pro wrestling business in January 2019 for a Portuguese pro wrestling promotion known as Centro De Treinos De Wrestling, took to Twitter and revealed that she is no longer with the WWE. James competed in her debut match with WWE in November 2020, when she lost to Jinny. In January 2021, it was revealed that James had officially signed with the WWE under their NXT UK brand, which was about a month following her match with Aoife Valkyrie (Lyra Valkria).

James last competed for the WWE on the March 2nd, 2022 episode of NXT UK, when she beat Stevie Turner in Women’s Division Singles action. Aleah James, who’s profile is still listed under the active stars section of the WWE roster despite no longer being with the company, also competed for promotions such as Pro Wrestling EVE, Frontline Wrestling, London Lucha League, ATTACK! Pro Wrestling, Revolution Pro Wrestling and Schadenfreude & Friends.
