WWE RAW Star Sidelined With A Short-Term Illness

Over the past number of months, majority of those who have held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships have either suffered an injury and been put on the sidelines or have been taken out of in-ring action due to natural causes, such is the case with Piper Niven and it led to the WWE Universe believing the titles were cursed.

Last Monday’s post-Payback episode of WWE RAW saw a backstage segment between WWE official Adam Pearce and one-half of the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green, where Pearce announced that the other half of the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Piper Niven wasn’t cleared to wrestle and this led to the WWE Universe believing she may be injured.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Piper Niven is dealing with some sort of a short-term illness, but there are no plans for Niven and Green to vacate the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles or remove them from Niven. It was also mentioned on the report that the hope is for Niven to be back in action in about a week or two if all goes well.
