WWE Royal Rumble Plans Has Changed For Ronda Rousey

It was previously reported that a source within the WWE told WrestlingNews.co that “The Baddest Woman On The Planet” Ronda Rousey was set to put the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against Raquel Rodriguez at tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble Event in San Antonio, Texas, but with Rousey no longer the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Royal Rumble plans have obviously changed for Ronda Rousey.

According to Fightful Select, the match scheduled for Royal Rumble between Rousey and Rodriguez would instead be moved to an episode of WWE SmackDown a number of weeks back and Rousey would end up losing the WWE SmackDown Women’s Title to “The Queen” Charlotte Flair, who made a surprise return during the show. The report also states that several creative options were presented to Rousey, but none of them ended up working out and that is when the decision would be made to bump up the match and have Rousey drop the title to Flair.

It was then mentioned on the report that Charlotte Flair was on a “suggested matches” list to wrestle WWE RAW Women’s Champion “The EST Of WWE” Bianca Belair for her WWE RAW Women’s Title at WrestleMania and The Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley face Rousey for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship, with Ronda walking into WrestleMania as the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion. There is no word yet on what the WWE has planned for Ronda at WrestleMania, but she is not advertised to appear at tonight’s Royal Rumble.
