WWE recently issued a press release, where it was revealed that their 2023 SummerSlam Event is set to take place on Saturday, August 5 from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. It was also noted on the press release that the 2023 WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event will mark the first even the WWE will hold at Ford Field since WrestleMania in 2007 and the first SummerSlam to take place in the state of Michigan in 30 years.

SummerSlam marks the first WWE event to be held at Ford Field since WrestleMania in 2007 and the first SummerSlam to take place in the state of Michigan since 1993.
