WWE Star Tavion Heights Set for Seven Matches in Pro Wrestling NOAH Tournament

One big thing: WWE’s NXT star Tavion Heights is scheduled for seven matches in Pro Wrestling NOAH’s N-1 tournament

Pro Wrestling NOAH has revealed Tavion Heights’ schedule for the upcoming N-1 tournament, marking a significant crossover between WWE and the Japanese promotion.

• Heights will compete in the B Block of the tournament from August 4-25.
• He’s set to face seven different opponents across various Japanese cities.
• This follows the announcement that Heights and Josh Briggs from NXT will participate in the tournament.

The schedule:

• August 4, Yokohama: vs. Titus Alexander
• August 10, Korakuen: vs. Alpha Wolf
• August 11, Korakuen: vs. Manabu Soya
• August 12, Kawasaki: vs. Kenoh
• August 17, Sendai: vs. H. Dr. Wagner Jr.
• August 18, Sendai: vs. Y. Inamura
• August 25, Nagoya: vs. U. Sasaki

Why it matters

This crossover represents a growing trend of collaboration between WWE and other wrestling promotions, potentially opening doors for more diverse wrestling experiences for fans and performers alike.

By the numbers

• 7: The number of guaranteed matches for Heights in the tournament
• 3: The number of different cities Heights will compete in
• 2: WWE NXT stars (Heights and Briggs) participating in the N-1 tournament

Heights was last seen in WWE action on July 30 at the NXT Great American Bash event, where he unsuccessfully challenged Tony D’Angelo for the Heritage Cup.

The big picture

This isn’t the first time WWE stars have appeared in Pro Wrestling NOAH this year. AJ Styles notably defeated Naomichi Marufuji at last month’s NOAH Destination event, further solidifying the relationship between the two promotions.
