WWE’s Planned Major Live Event In India Has Been Postponed

It was previously reported that WWE is planning to hold a live event on a “grand scale” on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 in Hyderabad, India and that the roster for the show will consist of “a mixture of both Indian and international Superstars” and former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who recently flew to the country to do a “big Bollywood project” and who pushed for the company to hold another live event in India, is a lock to be on the show.

PWInsider.com then revealed that the WWE’s planned major live event in India will take place from the G.M.C. Balayogi Sports Complex, which is an indoor stadium in Hyderabad with a capacity of 5,000 fans and that it is expected the show will mostly feature talent from WWE SmackDown.

According to WrestleVotes, the proposed WWE Live Event in India scheduled for January 18 of next year has been postponed for unspecified reasons. WWE has yet to officially announce the event, but the WWE did previously hold their Superstar Spectacle Event in January 2021, which featured a number of their Indian talents as well as other top Superstars and they did hold a live event in India in 2017.
