Federal Judge Delays Ruling on Insanity Defense in Liv Morgan Stalking Case as New Psychiatric Exam Ordered
A federal judge in Florida has delayed ruling on the insanity defense in the stalking case against Shawn Chan, who is charged with stalking WWE star Liv Morgan, and has ordered the government to conduct its own psychiatric examination of Chan within 45 days. Chan is charged with one count of interstate domestic violence after allegedly traveling from Ontario to Florida in May 2025 and spending hours at Morgan's property. The defense's expert Dr. Michelle Ayala concluded that Chan suffers from an acute delusional disorder and was insane at the time of the offense, while Chan himself has demanded a speedy trial in a handwritten letter to the court.
