Cody Rhodes Does Not Agree His WrestleMania 38 Match Is The Second-Best WrestleMania Match Ever
Cody Rhodes disagrees with rankings that place his WrestleMania 38 match against Seth Rollins as the second-best WrestleMania match ever, stating he considers it a great moment and wonderful match but not deserving of that distinction from a pure match standpoint. In an interview with ESPN, Rhodes said he judges returns by what they generate afterward rather than the initial moment, and credited his time away from WWE working with Ring of Honor, New Japan, and the independent scene for helping him develop the American Nightmare character. Rhodes explained that leaving WWE was essential for him to figure out who he was as a performer, noting that his father Dusty Rhodes was hands-off in his development and that he learned through trial and error.
