According to reports, some people within the WWE Performance Center believe that Enzo Amore is officially on his way back to WWE, with promoters close to Enzo being told he is no longer accepting future independent bookings he would normally take. WWE interest in reuniting Enzo with his former tag team partner Big Cass has reportedly continued growing behind the scenes, and Enzo was recently spotted at the WWE Performance Center ahead of NXT on The CW. Additionally, Enzo and WWE allegedly held conversations during WrestleMania week, though WWE has not officially confirmed any return plans.

Carlito revealed in an interview with Chris Van Vliet that WWE stopped using him on television despite having two weeks remaining on his contract, and he wishes the company had given him a proper on-screen exit.
